JOIN THE SAMBINHAS
COMMUNITY SAMBA TEAM
The Sambinhas is a community Samba performance team dancing for the love of Samba. A purely not-for-profit community initiative, the Sambinhas will have the opportunity to train in performance Samba with coach Eleni, connect with fellow students and perform at some community events and Escola events. A team player mentality, sense of integrity and community spirit are all essential qualities for this team.
REQUIREMENTS TO SUBMIT INTEREST
- Ideally students should be comfortable at level 3 Samba Drills - level 4 Samba Upper Intermediate.
- Students must have a genuine passion for Samba culture and representing it with respect and integrity.
- Students must be committed to training and willing to accept feedback for growth.
EXPECTATIONS OF A SAMBINHA
- Consistently attending classes weekly at Escola. (Ideally 2 classes per week).
- Attending the monthly team training session and any extra sessions required for community events.
- A team player mentality and respect for team leaders and fellow members is essential.
