Eden Dessalegn

Eden Dessalegn is an enthusiastic and versatile performer, born in Ethiopia and raised in Australia, a mother of 2 with a lifelong passion for dance. Trained in Hip Hop, Dancehall, Salsa, Samba and Afro, she brings vibrant energy, rhythm and confidence to every class and performance.
From school showcases and competitions to teaching dance as a teen, Eden quickly grew into a confident choreographer and instructor, working with studios across Sydney and launching her own kids’ hip hop class in 2010.
Her performance career spans major events including the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, the Tonga vs Samoa Rugby World Cup finals, and the South African FIFA World Cup Festival. She has featured in music videos for Justice Crew, Maya Jupiter and Mike Champion, and performed at Sydney Carnival, African Festivals and NYE events.
Eden appeared on the TV show Everybody Dance Now, mentored by Kelly Rowland, where her group SAEA Banyana won their first round with an African-inspired routine. She also landed a featured dance role in The Great Gatsby (2013) and performed at its VIP Sydney premiere. Her theatre credits include The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe, with 52 shows across Belvoir and Riverside Theatres, and she was awarded Most Outstanding Performer of the Year in 2013.
Alongside dance, Eden is an entrepreneur who is the CEO of Eden Stylz a Sydney based Hair braiding studio
Eden has contributed her hair-braiding skills to the film Mad Max: Fury Road, Thor 4, Chang Chi, Gladiator TV Show and more also known for her bubbly personality and contagious smile, she is passionate about inspiring others and sharing the joy of dance and hair with her community and the world.
