Aleks is a professional and versatile dance artist, born and raised in a small town called Arapoti on the country side of Paraná in Brazil. He started his dance journey with the GDEC (Grupo de Dança e Expressão Corporal) company which specialised in popular and cultural Brazilian dance. He performed at his his first ever dance festival and first competition which ignited his dedication to continue training and growing in dance.
At the age of 16 Aleks moved to a bigger city and the capital of Paraná, Curitiba. There he joined a Competition Street Dance Company called Companhia de Dança Street Extreme choreographed by Eladio Prados. He had the opportunity to work with established commercial choreographers and dancers in Brazil, such an Jonatas Cardoso, Felipe Vilarim and Pedro Reis. Aleks also won first place with the company at the Festival de Dança de Joenville which is known as the biggest dance festival in the world by the Guiness Book of World Records. Aleks also had opportunity to travel to Poland with the group and participate in the Fair Play Dance Camp, one of the biggest street dance camps in Europe and train with big names such Isabelle Capsule, Kaycee Ruce , Nika Kljun, Jade Chynkweth and Sean Lew.
At the age of 18 Aleks moved to Australia dedicated to growing and expanding his dance skills. At the age of 20 he graduated in Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management, where he learned invaluable teaching methods and exposure to different dance genres such as Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Tango.
At 21 Aleks graduated with a Diploma of Performing Arts at the renowned Brent Street, which opened the door for many opportunities, such as being choreographed by big names like Steven Tannos, Cameron Mitchell, Paris Cavanah, Sophie Holloway, Cassie Bartho and performances at large scale events at venues such as Allianz Stadium and Rosehill Racecourse. Aleks is also part of a documentary about full time dance student at Brent street called Dance Life, streaming on Prime Video.
Aleks is a magnetic and versatile performing artist and instructor teaching a variety of dance genres including Brazilian Funk, Ballet, Lyrical, Commercial Jazz and Heels. He is a dynamic and much loved instructor at Escola de Samba Sydney.
