About the Event
Our Passista Intro course is the essential foundation required for Rio Passista style Samba, based on the world renowned technique of Carlinhos Salgueiro and the top Samba directors in Rio.
This course is “projeto” style and incorporates a mix of resistencia (Samba fitness) drills and the fundamental “Samba Diva” styling, parading and performance methods that are essential to dancing like a Passista in Brazil. We will also work on incorporating musicality, rhythm, personality and confidence in performing Samba and expand your understanding of Samba and carnaval culture.
This course is suitable for Intermediate level Samba dancers, or Samba dancers who want to learn the fundamentals of Passista style.
